Is a Technology Alliance agreement right for you?

If your company develops or sells software for IBM i and you see a commercial opportunity to connect your existing products to the Sitemule platform - or to build new products on top of ours - a Technology Alliance Partner agreement is the right starting point.

A Technology Alliance Partner has access to System & Method's technology at a level the other tiers do not. The agreement includes technology disclosure: architecture documentation, APIs, and internal specifications sufficient to make deep integration or new product development viable.

A partner who builds a new product on the platform carries "Powered by Sitemule" - or the relevant module name - on that product. A partner who integrates an existing product with the platform does not carry the Powered by mark; instead, the integration is documented, listed, and mutually supported as a certified connection.

The commercial terms - territory, scope, revenue share, and co-marketing - are agreed individually on top of the technology foundation.

What the agreement includes

Technology access. Partners receive architecture documentation, API specifications, and internal technical specifications relevant to the agreed integration or development scope. This access is governed by a formal disclosure agreement covering confidentiality and the terms under which the platform internals may be used.

Co-branding. Products built on the Sitemule platform carry a "Powered by" mark that identifies the underlying Sitemule modules. Products that integrate with the platform without being built on it do not carry the mark, but the integration is listed and supported as a certified connection.

Commercial terms. Territory, scope, revenue share, co-marketing, and certification requirements are agreed individually. There is no standard rate card. The starting point is a conversation about your market, your products, and where the overlap with Sitemule creates the most value.

Requirements. Technology Alliance Partner agreements carry obligations on both sides. Partners are expected to maintain technical competency on the platform, participate in regular alignment with the System & Method product team, and adhere to the co-branding and disclosure protocols set out in the agreement.

Why it matters
